Will I receive a ticket for forgetting to turn on my headlight?

I forgot to turn on my headlight and was pulled over. Both of us were chill. He told me "Just make sure to turn on your headlight next time". But I'm not sure if I'm going to receive a ticket or not. Does the cop mail me the ticket or the cop just let me go as a warning? He asked me to show my license and he wrote down my information.
