Question regarding 30 day and no c of o?

Just found out my landlord doesn't have a rental license or a c of o on house I'm renting in detroit mi. There are numerous maintenance issues that inspector found along with the issues I've been asking the landlord to address...example..basement leaking and flooded.lost a ton of posessions.mold growing everywhere..no railing on porch or stairs leading to basement.no shut off valve on hot water tank,busted chimney.etc etc.. I had city inspector come out and in retaliation landlord sent me a 30 day. What are my rights and should I get an attorney? Thank you.
