Can I sue for having permission to park somewhere and then they tow my camper for salvage with my life in it?

I live in a 30 ft RV we had to move and a friend was towing it cuz our truck broke, he only hauled it as far as a church parking lot. He put it way in the back. I emailed the church and let them know about the situation. He said he did need it moved but as long as I was showing good faith it was ok. I kept in touch letting him know what was going on I had 3 people back out on me with trucks at the last min, they even offered to help me have it towed to where I needed it. anyway, he tells me now the only way it can be towed is for scrap and a company will be coming he would let me know when. I told him I would be there the next day and that morning he sent a I regret to inform you that was on the 10/12 also on the 12th he put a certified letter in the mail saying I had 2 weeks to move it we got it in the 14. But it had already bean taken. We had, me and my kids and boyfriend, had things that can't be replaced in there from family, everything I owned of value was in it . What I want to know is can I sue him for a new camper and property. I have all the emails between us . And a partial list of what was in it . Thank you.
