I was late on a payment for my Dui fines now there is a warrant. What will happen when i go see the judge?

I fell behind on my first two payments for a first offense .09 Dui because I was confused as to the date they were due and family issues taking care of my mother got in the way. When I called in to make a payment they told me I had a warrant since I hadn't paid. I paid over what was due and for next months and then some. I have to go to the court house to see a judge. What will most likely happen when I go in?

Because you missed a payment, the system flagged your case and a warrant went out for you. You can't ignore the warrant and just making the payments isn't going to clear it up. You will need to either go to court yourself of have an attorney appear for you to try and recall the warrant without further consequences. What will happen depends on many factors - how long the warrant has been out, how late you were on payments, what other things you were obligated to do (the MADD panel, DUI program, etc.) that you are also not in compliance with. I practice in Orange County and have cases in West Court (I assume since you're in Huntington Beach, it's a West Court case). You can contact me if you want to discuss your case further. .
