You might contact a local attorney to look into it. By jumping on it early you may be better off.

Ignore the advice from the TX attorney who knows nothing about CA DMV rules. As an attorney when I ask for a hearing date for a client I get the date immediately followed by a package in the mail with the police reports and chemical tests. You better call to confirm. It is best to go with an attorney who knows how DMV hearings work as well as the parallel court process.

I agree with Mr. Kaman. When I contact the DMV via the telephone I get a hearing date over the phone. If I apply via fax I usually get a return fax that day or at the latest the following day. I would ensure that you did properly schedule a hearing with the DMV. The packet you get from the DMV can take up to a month to receive. Do not attempt to handle the DMV hearing alone. As far as the court you will not get a date earlier than the date the officer cited you. Make sure you or your attorney is in court for that date. Robert Driessen

I agree with the two California attorneys. In Orange county if your attorney called they get a date instantly, if they faxed in the request they should get a fax confirming the date in 2-3 days at the most. Contact your attorney and if he still doesn't have a date I would contact the DMV and be sure the attorney did his job.
