Can I sue a doctor's office if they fail to fill out the required FMLA forms and I lose my job?

I've been out of work for about 3 weeks now and when I first went out I was given forms by my employer to give to my doctor for approval of my FMLA. I have called numerous times and spoken directly to two different doctors regarding my paperwork being filled out. I was even told by the second doctor that the one I originally saw almost never fills out forms. I was told today by my employer that if the forms are not in soon that I will be separated from the company. The condition I was diagnosed with reacts poorly to stress and causes pain and other detrimental issues; needless to say I'm in pain because of the stress over worrying about my job .

It's premature to consider suing your doctor. Your time would be better spent trying to get the forms signed by this doctor or another. I have often found that sitting in a non-responsive professional's office with a bag lunch and an intention to stay until satisfied usually does the trick. Be persistent, but respectful. Certainly, a letter from a lawyer to the doctor may help. Good luck.
