Dependent children of employees of UN Organizations such as World Bank become eligible for Green Card after 7 years continuous stay in the US and if their ages are less than 21 years. When they submit application for Green Card, while their case is pending with USCIS, are they required to obtain Advance Parole Document before travel abroad? What should they do if they have performed the travel without an advance parole document and upon return to the US they have received from USCIS a notice of intent to deny their case?
Yes, you would be required to get advance parole prior to leaving the US. Failure to do so would result in abandonment of the application to adjust status. A Notice of intent to deny is the first step in the denial.
Ouch, the last sentence tells the tale. You need to contact an experienced immigration attorney who can examine the facts of your case and assist in the reply to the USCIs intent to deny. At worst, if you entered on the G4 visa than you will have to start with a new I-485 because the travel abroad without advanced parole with a pending AOS usually has the effect of abandoning the adjustment application. Good luck.

You must have obtained advance parole to travel while your adjustment application is pending or will otherwise abandon your application by departing the U.S.
