Chapter 7 No Asset Case But Received Notice of Recovery of Asset by Trustee?

I am going through a No Asset Chapter 7 bankruptcy pro se. I already had my meeting of the creditors which was left as No Asset as well. I am about 20 days away from discharge and the trustee filed a notice of recovery of asset/notice to file proof of claim. I have not been asked to give up anything nor received anything from the trustee other than the notice. I attempted to determine what, and where, the trustee is getting the asset from but the doctor (via PACER) does not provide any information at all other than it now being list as an asset case? All my personal property was exempt as well. The only thing I can think of was the trustee requested all payments made to creditors within a certain time period pre-petition to be turned over (which at most would be 500$, if that)?

Your speculation of asset recovery by preference is probably correct.

Based on your brief summary of the facts, if you are concerned about receiving your discharge, you will receive it irrespective of whether or not the trustee has recovered assets to be administered and paid to creditors. Generally, a trustee will not administer a case for a mere $500. Rather than speculate, why don't you just call the chapter 7 trustee and ask?

Filing pro se is dangerous as your attorney would be able to answer these type questions. But since you are pro se, why not simply ask the trustee?
