Most likely at a minimum, deportation. You really need to retain an experienced immigration lawyer to review all the facts and advise you accordingly.

I do not see this as an immigration question. He may be facing criminal charges. How about consulting with a criminal defense attorney before sending any documents.

He could face some serious problems, both criminally and with immigration. He should seek out legal assistance as soon as possible, as he may need help.

hello I do not believe that you have a truely "safe" way to do this as all options have risks associated with them however If the name change was a legal change then this needs to be documented and explained CAREFULLY whatever you do may want to do so after meeting and discussing this issue at length with an attorney and preferably have him act on your behalf You do not want to be suspected of committing a fraud if you did not do so Good Luck

There are both immigration and criminal implications to this fact pattern. You need to seek out legal representation before taking any action.
