Can the custodial parent move out of the country with the child?

I have visitation rights with my daughter and I pay child support. That's where her mother has made sure my contact with my daughter ends. I got a call a month ago saying my daughter's passport had been renewed & it appears my ex-wife has put her house on the market. My ex is not from the U.S. and I'm terrified she is trying to leave the country with my daughter. What can I do?

You should speak with a local attorney as soon as possible about getting a restraining order. If your ex leaves the country, it will be very difficult to get your daughter back. You can search the attorney profiles here on to find someone in your area. Good luck!
