Can my son ask for Deferred Adjudication for running a red light in Cypress, TX?

It happened last Thursday night. Unfortunately, he's already scheduled to take Defensive Driving today for a speeding ticket (ten miles per hour over the limit) he got in Austin while at college. These are the only two violations he's received in three years of driving.

Yes, he can ask. He should read the information on the ticket and call the court to see if he can come in and talk to the judge before the scheduled hearing date to get this resolved. Or he can wait until the hearing.
