How do i find out about wire tap warrant on my line?

Hi, i just wanted to know how i can find out if a warrant was ever issued for a tap to be placed on my phone line. I know that here in Cleveland Ohio the law clearly stats that whenever a wiretap has been completed, the owner of the line should be notified that the tap had taken place. Do you have any idea where or who i would have to speak to about finding information/copies of warrants regarding wiretaps on my phone line. Thanks

A wiretap could come from different sources depending on the requesting authority but most of the time it is likely to be the result of any one of three possibilities. The local county prosecutor could obtain a wiretap. Federal criminal investigators could obtain a wiretap. Federal terrorism investigators could obtain a wiretap. How to find out about any one of them having done a wiretap which is now over with? That is something that you need to talk privately with an attorney about - and not on the internet or publicly where law enforcement officials may observe your postings. You need to talk to a local Criminal Law attorney who deals with this kind of case. Call your local attorney's Bar Association and ask for a referral to a Criminal Law attorney near you. If you can not afford an attorney then you should tell them and ask for a public defender (it may be called something else in your particular state).
