I sell airsoft guns. Can the items in my catalogue have military seals? The actual items do not.

I work for a Taiwanese company that sells items with military seals, but do not sell those items in the US. The catalogue shows items with military seals. Will the catalogue pose an issue state side?

Assuming your question is simply whether you can get into trouble copying actual U.S. military seals, the answer is YES! Your use of U.S. military seals without permission whether on the products or just in the catalogue is likely be a problem from the perspective of the U.S. military (regardless of whether you sell your products in the U.S.). As indicated at the U.S. Department of Defense website below, "Department of Defense and Military Seals are protected by law from unauthorized use. These seals may NOT be used for non-official purposes. However, the Military Services may approve the use of their Service emblem or coat of arms as a substitute on a case-by-case basis." This means you would have to contact each of the relevant Military Service divisions (contact information is provided at the site below) to see which emblem(s) each one would give you permission to use (if any) before you would be authorized to use U.S. military seals or look-a-like substitutes on your products and/or in your catalog.

U.S. Military seals are intended only for official use. The various branches of the military may license rights to reproduce their seals for approved projects. Use in a catalog as well as use on actual products would be prohibited without authorization.
