Does designated holiday time supersede parenting time? does "missed" time due to holiday have to be made up after the holiday?

I would check the exact language in your parenting plan as it will typically state explicitly that holiday parenting time supersedes regular parenting time. Though even if it doesn't I would expect the judge to infer that holiday time supersedes regular parenting time - otherwise the language about the holiday parenting time would be meaningless. Regarding make up parenting time for holidays - that's not something I generally see, which makes sense since the holidays time will equal out over time (i.e. mom gets Thanksgiving this year then dad gets the same time for Thanksgiving next year.) If your parenting plan requires make up time after holidays (or you both want to make that the procedure) then that's fine, but I wouldn't expect a court to require it if there is no specific language about it in the order.
