Can I appeal a restraining order

I was 15 at the time and I saw my bus driver attracted. She was 41-42 at the time. I gave her a note with my number and how much I loved her. Well she said she liked me as well so I asked her out and she said yes. We dated for two and a half years had the greatest times of our lives. Well we eventually got caught two weeks before I turned 18. I heard since I was 17 when my mom got the restraining order I can appeal and since I'm 18 now

I am assuming that the restraining order/protective order was issued by the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court, in which case the time period in which to notice an appeal to the Circuit Court is 10 calendar days. IF you could appeal that order, then arguably the time limit for appeal would be tolled by your legal incapacity (i.e., that you were a minor). However, that would mean that the 10 day period would begin to run upon your 18th birthday. Another option may be to file a petition to terminate the protective order. If this is a course that you insist on pursuing, then I would recommend that you consult with a family law attorney in your area. That having been said, the relationship that you have described is not normal nor healthy. What happened to you was actually child molestation, even though you believe that you initiated the relationship and may believe that you are mature enough to engage in a romantic relationship with a 40 plus year old woman. At age 15 when this person first agreed to engage in this romantic relationship with you, you had not developed into an adult physically, mentally, or emotionally -- even now, at 18, you are still not fully developed. Physical development will continue into your early twenties and the frontal lobe of your brain (that controls things like impulses) will not be fully developed and operational until you reach your mid-twenties. So, at the time of the relationship (and even now), you were still part child (both physically and emotionally), which causes me to have serious questions about the mental and emotional stability of the woman you "dated". So, regardless of whether you have the restraining order lifted or not, I would implore you to seek some counseling for yourself before attempting to resume this relationship with a person who by all reasonable standards molested/sexually abused you.
