Is public humiliation against the law?

5 views 2 answers
I recently turned my neighbor in for sexually assaulting my 4 year old grandson who is also my foster son. The police interviewed my grandson then had a special interviewer talk with him and nothing was validated, my problem comes from the reporting officer in his report stated the only reason we (my wife and me) would talk with these people is that we must be druggers because they are. Well they have the only child on the block that is the same age as my grandson. When the CPS people read the report they wanted me and my wife to take a drug test, well my drug test was done in a public bathroom with about fifteen people standing out side. The person doing the test basically came out in the hall and said are you here for the drug test. I am registered nurse with no legal problems ever.

First and foremost, hire an attorney. These are the most complex questions in family law and will require a number of experts to find the truth. Please note that a false allegation of sexual assault against a minor is a crime so you must step very carefully, hence the absolute necessity of hiring an attorney. Hope this helps

Focusing just on the limited issue of whether there is any legal claim on the basis of you being asked in public if you were there for the drug test, the answer is "no." There are many circumstances in which drug tests are routine and given to persons where there are no suspicions or allegations against them. You need to just cloak this experience in that context and move on to the larger issues of the circumstances that you describe.
