It can take anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months to receive your blood results. Although the results of the portable breath test are not admissible, you should have a fair sense of what your blood alcohol concentration may be. To be convicted of a DUI, the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you were in actual physical control of your vehicle. To be in actual physical control there are several elements to consider. I highly recommend contacting an attorney as soon as possible to receive a comprehensive evaluation of your DUI case.

Sitting in a vehicle is called actual physical control and some of the best cases to argue in court. You need to hire experienced DUI counsel. I have seen some blood take months to get tested. It depends on the jurisdiction. Contact a DUI Lawyer Aaron Black DUI Lawyer 480-729-1683

Typically you will get the blood results back within a couple of months however the length of time does differ between agencies. If this was a misdemeanor DUI arrest the State has one year from the date of the violation to charge you. Although it rarely takes the State that long to obtain blood results, this is something you should keep in mind. Good luck.
