Verification of Request for Production of Documents.

The responding party to the Request for Production of documents is a California Corporation and a Legal Firm. Usually, the President of the Corporation signed the verification. However, on one of the requests, the verification was signed by a member of the firm - meaning he is not the agent or officer of the firm. Is this considered an unverified response?

It would still be considered a verified response if the corporation is located outside of the county. However, the responding party might have waived the attorney client privilege if the attorney signed the verification on behalf of the client.

If the client is located outside of the county where the suit is filed, it may be appropriate and permitted for the attorney to verify on behalf of his client.
