Does interest accrue on unpaid spousal support?

The spousal support owed to me is in arrears since March 2011. A contempt trial is scheduled, I would like to know if I can claim interest on unpaid support. If I am eligible to do so, how is it factored? I reside in California.

It is a court order and bears interest at the legal rate of 10% simple interest per annum. Calculate it by the number of days from the payment due date until the day of the hearing.
