Potential Dismissed Chapter 7 case over missed installment payment

I missed my final payment that was due today to be paid in full. It was supposed to be 2/23/12 paid in full or be dismissed. Should I still send my payment in today? Is there a possibility it wont be dismissed if the trustee doesn't file a motion? My case was ruled a no asset case by the trustee. If its dismissed is there a form to reconsider the dismissal? also, the final deadline is the 2/28/12 (60 days)

By all means pay it ASAP - be there at 8 a.m. or whenever the doors open. Once it is paid, it should not be dismissed, even if it is a day late. BUT, the computer flags the date, so you can't expect that the dismissal will not be entered when the clerk sees that the payment was not received on time.

I agree -- hand carry a money order to the court clerk first thing tomorrow morning. Be well dressed and very polite. Don't make excuses -- just say, "here's my final payment and I'm sorry it's two days late." Even if a dismissal order has technically issued, chances are very good that your case will survive. (Don't take a personal check -- courts don't accept checks from pro-se parties.)

Run, don't walk to the court house. You can make the payment at the cashier window.
