When out on bond for a criminal offense, you are not permitted to leave the state without permission from the court. Your attorney should request permission from the court and have it put into an order that you can carry with you.

It depends on the law of that state and orders of the judge. Generally, in Illinois, you're not allowed to leave the state while out on bond for an Illinois charge (unless you first get permission from the judge). This applies to felonies and misdemeanors (even DUI). You should carefully read any paperwork you received when you posted bond.

Bail in Illinois requires you to obtain permission to leave the State. If you are arrested in a different state, read the bond slip thoroughly.
