How long does a New York personal injury case usually take?
Anonymous1 views3 answers
Many cases are filed for personal injuries. Many people also suffer in waiting for these types of cases to settle. If attorney's could give a actually timing on such cases as personal injuries it would give some kind of closure.

Since every case is different, it would be impossible for an attorney to give you a time line since not all cases are handled the same way.

It is extremely difficult for an attorney to estimate the timing of a personal injury case in New York. There are many factors that are considered in a lawsuit such as which insurance company you are dealing with to which medical office you are treating with. As a result of the myriad of reasons leading to the speed in which a case will be resolved attorneys are hesitant to speculate. More likely than not the plaintiff's attorney is pursuing the case as aggresively and quickly as possible. However, to give an estimate is usually quite difficult as typically there are too many unknown factors.
I hope this was somewhat helpful.

The circumstances of each matter are different. The judges control their dockets differently. Doctors can only come to a final diagnosis after some time passes. Witness schedules to give testimony vary. So, it is different timing for each case.
