Who usually requests a hearing, the lawyer or the insurance company?

I was recently informed that my case has been scheduled for a hearing. I unsuccessfully attempted two different light duty jobs, and my compensation has not been reinstated. I have an unspecified back injury.
I assume you have a workers' compensation case. Either party or the court or board could request a hearing. I would suggest you contact an atty who offers free consultation and is an expert in personal injury in GA. Check out the listings. The fact that your compensation has not been reinstated should be addressed. Good luck!
The answer above is correct. Since it sounds like you are the one who needs the hearing, you (through a lawyer) will probably be the one to request it, which is usually the case, to answer your specific question. You don't specify in your question whether you have a lawyer but, if you don't, you should get one. We service all of Georgia and would be happy to talk with you about your case. Good luck!
Not enough facts for any attorney on this side of the computer screen to evaluate and answer. If you do not have an attorney you are on a greased coal chute down to a bad result.
