I am getting divorced. My wife and I used to see a therapist as a couple three years ago. Last year, my wife starting seeing the same therapist by herself. Can I stop or limit this therapist's testimony due to fact that I was previously a client?

These comments are made for educational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. No attorney-client relationship exists between us. You have the right to block that testimony as a former patient. The therapist should respond if a subpoena is served, but should then assert the privilege and withhold any testimony.
