I am employed in india,have an L2 visa and i want to continue working for the same company without quitting till I get my EAD done in USA. I will be paid on indian payroll as well as my salary will be subject to tax as per indian tax laws. I will get EAD done in USA and then I will resign from my Indian company and join their US sister concern company. is it possible or for that as well i have to get employment authorization?
I agree with my colleagues that this would be considered work in the United States. You probably need to enter the USA as an L-2 and file immediately for the EAD. You can then return to India to complete whatever assignment is needed to be completed. When the EAD issues, you can return to the US and work as you please. This is the best way to handle your circumstance.
