So i got a speeding ticket for 1st time.it was only my car on the freeway around 9pm and no one else was there beside one car behind me who was flashing headlights at me for driving 65. I had to speed up, the car behind me took exit and vanished but a new car came behind me and was a cop car.He pulled me over for driving 80 on 65. anyways i am down to go to traffic school.just wanted to know is it better to go straight to traffic school and pay the bail as fees or appear on the court date, request judge to reduce fine if possible and then go to traffic school? My main concern is will I loose my eligibility to go to traffic school if I appear on court and plead guilty and request judge to reduce fine?

You will not lose your ability to go to traffic school if you do as you indicate. The judge may not reduce the fine.

If you plead guilty at the arraignment and ask for reduced fines you will be able to do traffic school. If you set it for trail some Judges will not let you do traffic school on the date of trial unless the officer agrees and you enter a plea of guilty before the hearing begins.
