i was living in n.o,la and my ex wife was living in ma. on one particular evening i called her boyfriends phone for my ex wife to go get my 14 year old son (who was left home alone when he wasn't feeling well) i called 3 times then my ex wifes boyfriend was texting me so i called 2 more times asking him to stop harrassing me. this was in 9/10/09. the boyfriend filed charges against me in ma. i found out about the case while i was trying to renew my license so i moved back to ma. to fix these cases. i went to court 2 weeks ago an i lost the case. case was heard in front of the judge only. i got 1 year unsupervised probation. im trying to move back now that the court cases are done. now the court is telling me i can't just move. can i take this back to court to fight it. i want to leave

You have a limited amount of time to file an appeal of the decision once it has been formally entered. In an appeal, you have to show that the judge made an error in how he applied the law to the facts. You do not get to revisit the facts or argue that the judge got the facts wrong. Because there is a very short deadline in which to file a notice of appeal, you should consult with an attorney ASAP to see if the case is worth appealing or not.

In addition to considering an appeal as suggested by Attorney Golden, you should also see if you can transfer your probation to the state that you wish to move to. Another option is to file a Motion to Revise and Revoke your sentence and ask the judge to consider imposing a fine in lieu of probation. You should contact a criminal attorney who practices regularly in the Court you were tried in to discuss the options that are available to you. Time is of the essence.
