I have done background checks and researced the meaning of deferred prosecution and found out it will not be on my criminal record. will this show up in any government background checks?

When someone runs a background check on you, the results that are displayed vary depending on what the purpose is of the check, and who the person is running that check. Private companies running your history can only see certain things while a law enforcement agency running your history can see pretty much everything.

If you expunged the arrest law enforcement will always be able to see it.
