Does spring break include weekends in a custody order?

Child Custody 3 views 1 answers
Spring break is a school holiday, not a national holiday (like Memorial Day weekend). My ex refused to give me our daughter for this weekend because of spring break and because they didn't want me to have her for Easter, which is a holiday not included in the custody order. What are my options as far as going back to court?

Look at your order, but most include details. For example, "spring break shall begin after school on the Friday before break and end at 6:00 PM of the Sunday before school starts." Similar details are ususally included for some holidays, such as "... begins on Maundy Thursday." The drafter may not have thought about a conflict between spring break and Easter. You could agree my letter, since the holidays may alternate by year and so you could try to avoid going back to court. That way, whatever you and Ex decide defines Easter / Break rules would apply to each of you if the calendar brings that up again. Or, your attorneys can work it out. OR, you can really irritate a Judge to rule on the language you want to amend the order with.
