I overstayed my F-1 for many years. Then I met my husband who is a U.S citizen. We applied adjustment of status, and just recently got notice of action for I-485. We haven't done the interview yet. I wonder can I go to college again with just my notice of action receipt for the I-485? Will college consider me as resident ?

It depends on the school. Some state schools will say no. Some private schools may say yes ... if you pay the tuition. Talk to an attorney to have your I-130/I-485 application kit reviewed for any possible errors/omissions.
