I was convicted of PC 243 (e)(1) (misd). Probation is done. The victim was 18+. Can this be expunged any time soon?

I was hoping to use a govern's pardon to pursue a professional license.

You can seek to have your conviction expunged. An expungement reopens your criminal case, dismisses and sets aside the conviction, and re-closes the case without a conviction. In effect, you are no longer a convicted person. However, the case record itself will still exist, and the expungement will appear on your record. So if you're interested in applying for a professional license, the expungement will appear. I suggest you find an criminal defense attorney to assist you with this.

You can get the conviction dismissed, pursuant to penal code section 1203.4. It will still show up when you pursue a professional license. Pardon's are extremely rare.

If you completed probation successfully and otherwise qualify for the conditions listed in the appropriate Penal Code section you should be able to get it expunged. Contact any attorney to help you. Good luck.
