What happens if your rental lease is fraudulent

my landlord isnt the owner of the house I am renting nor is she on any paperwork pertaining to the house.. when I went to get medicaid benefits she wrote out a different lease with the owners name on it then afterwards she told me to get rid of the new lease
If the person you signed the contract with is not the owner or an agent of the owner, then the contract may not be enforceable and the true owner may have the right to evict you. If the "landlord" has been authorized by the owner to rent out the house, then the name used in the lease agreement may not make much difference.
You may have a claim for fraud or under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act if, when you signed the lease, you were relying on the representation that the person you were signing the lease with was the actual owner.
I question how you determined that the owner of the house is not your landlord but if you have a lease with someone who is not the owner AND who is not acting as an agent of the owner, then you do not have an enforceable lease. That works both ways. The owner can evict you. You can leave.
