Will this be a problem? I have Permanent resident card for 17 years, I left after a couple of years and returned to my home country but then came back five years ago and now live and work and pay taxes last 5 years... haven't left for more than a few days. Since I have met 5 years continuous residence...will this be an issue?

I agree with my colleagues. You should meet with an immigration attorney to discuss the particular circumstances under which you left and returned in order to properly determine your options and status.

Yes, it will be an issue. You really need to retain an experienced immigration lawyer to review all the facts and advise you accordingly.
