Is it worth it to sue for a piece of metal found in my soup?

1 views 1 answers
I found a piece of metal in a well-known name brand soup. The piece of metal was shaped like a rounded staple with sharp ends. Luckily, I saw it floating and pulled it out before I swallowed it. I may have possibly swallowed another piece, but the chances of there being two pieces of metal in one can of soup is slim to none, I hope. Anyway, I wasn't sure of what to do being that I was not injured. Any advice?

Since you were not injured you have no damages (except perhaps for the value of the can of defective soup). Tell the grocery store and get a free can. Outside of that, absent a serious injury, you have no cause of action.
