Do out of state records show up on CORI check..?

I had a DUI first offence in Louisiana in 2009 and I am currently applying for a job in MA. Will it show up in the CORI check or it only shows records in the state of MA?

Your CORI will contain information inputted by Massachusetts state courts. However, employers that do background checks generally subscribe to services that check all publicly available state records. So, just because the Louisiana DUI won't be on your MA CORI, doesn't mean your potential employer won't have access to it.

Oftentimes, criminal offenses, even if out of state will show up on your CORI. There are times that an OUI don't appear on the CORI, but would show up on your driving record. Some employers will check a variety of records.
Good luck!
In addition to the good answers already provided regarding out of state issues, keep in mind that “CORI Reform” in Massachusetts was signed into law on August 6, 2010 and a number of changes will go into effect on May 4, 2012 that concern the sealing of records.
CORI reform will enable many more ex-offenders to seal than previously, however it will also make your records available to a broader audience, which is why it is important to know your rights and have your records sealed whenever possible. For example, all employers will have standard access to CORI, enabling them to review pending criminal charges and recent felony or misdemeanor convictions. Second, landlords who previously had no access to CORI information will now have the same access as standard employers. Third, the general public will have limited access to CORI, known as “Open CORI” which includes a number of misdemeanor and felony convictions.
This is a very general overview and there are many more details about CORI reform that an attorney could explain to you.
