I had a DUI, went through ARD and had it expunged. Can I buy a new car?

My insurance Co. never found out about my DUI. My rate never went up. If I buy a new car, ( financed so I need insurance), will they be able to see the Dui if it was expunged? I think there is a 3 yr limit for them to find it, and I am at 2 and a half. I woud hate for them to find out now.

In Texas usually the insurance companies find out about the DWI based on a client's driving record. When a person is arrested for a DWI they also face what we call an Administrative License Revocation hearing. This hearing is in addition to the DWI. So, some clients will have their DWI dismissed or reduced but the DL hearing can still show on their driving history.
