Do I need to go back to Washington state to deal with my warrant?

I have a DUI and missed my court date when I moved out of state to Texas. I have been told by Puyallup Police Station in Washington state that I need to turn myself in in order to get anything fixed with my record. They would not tell me if I actually have a warrant. I would rather not fly back just to go to jail and deal with this matter here in Texas. The courts and police stations here and in Washington have not been helpful. Please help. Thank you!

It may be possible to have an attorney recall the warrant and handle the case. Some courts allow this in certain circumstances, some do not. You should call an attorney in the area of the warrant to discuss in more detail.
