Dear Experts,
I had a EB2 case (140 and 485 filed together). My I-140 is still pending at Texas Service Center. My I-485 is transferred to the USCIS Houston Office. My lawyer told me that he would call to USCIS and ask for the reason. He also told me that he never had his employment based I-485 transferred to any of USCIS local office. I have one charge dismissed and disclosed it in my application. My child (2 years old) called 911 numerous time within 10 minutes and police office arrested me. I also travel very frequently to South America. Would you anyone of you know why? Is this a new procedure for I-485? Thank you.
Employment-based cases are sometimes scheduled for an interview because of a criminal charge. I would make certain to get certified copies of the accusation and the dismissal. Also, you may want to hire an attorney to review your case for any other potential issue.
