Can a biological mother revoke adoption papers after the adoption is final?

Business 2 views 1 answers
I adopted my sons 10 years ago when I was still married to their mother. We divorced 2 years ago and now she is threatening to have the adoption revoked. Can she do this? I did a step-parent adoption at the time and it was approved and finalized in California.

Once an adoption is granted, you step into the shoes of the biological father. That you and the motehr are now divorced does not change the adoption or your rights as the adoptive father. The biological mother can't just change her mind 10 years later and revoke the adoption.
