I was repeatedly exposed to natural gas yet my employer did not arrange an alternate location until after the fourth exposure. I was not given results from prior reviews and was moved out of my position after I reported harassment by another employee. The employer stated that my judgement was cited during the gas leaks as a cause for the removal, although the employer left me at the site daily without intervention, and did not disclose any issues with my judgment until much later and did not share the information with me. The stress is unbearable. Can I get unemployment pay while seeking new employment? Do I have a legal case against this employer regarding the gas leaks and harassment?

Exposure to natural gas health risks and added harassment are potential problems for your employer. Using the written documentation you have is a good place to begin. Contact a local lawyer - many may give you a free consultation for an hour or so - to discuss your specifics. Far too many variables exist in the short post you wrote for any further observation by me but such exposure to health risks and added harassment are potential problems for your employer. You need a lawyer. Check with a lawyer in your locale to discuss more of the details. Good luck to you. NOTE: This answer is made available by the non-TX lawyer for educational purposes only.
