Will a deferred sentence stay on your record and do i need an attorney to get it taken off and is it expensive

i want to get my record expunged is that possible? im May of 2003 I was given a 5 year deferred sentence and now when i apply for a job will it be on a background check?

You need to hire a competent criminal defense attorney in your area to assist you. I do not practice in OK, but in KY, you can petition the court after the completition of your pretrial diversion period of 5 years to expunge the record. Contact counsel to review OK law to see if you qualify.
