Can I sue because conservator failed to notify me, next of kin of mom's death and nursing home left body in room with live body?

No one notified me of my mother's death in a nursing home although we visited her daily. Her body was left in a room with a living pattient for about 8 hours. She was almost sent to the morgue, but I refused to allow her body to be taken.

What do the conservator papers say? Generally, they give the conservator certain rights to proceed. I understand that you are upset and am very sorry about your mother. I would speak with the conservator first and work it out. I don't see a cause of action against the nursing home. It sounds like they're just doing their jobs. Ms. Johns is a lawyer although she is not your lawyer unless you have spoken with her and signed a fee or letter agreement confirming her representation of you.
