Fiancé got locked up because someone said they seen him and another guy walking cross the road with a black bag in hand. My fiancé said the item was giving to him by the other male. The police comes and he gets arrested and they find the evidence in our yard but he received it from someone. How much time will he possibly get for this?

Theft by receiving and burglary are 2 different offenses. A person could not be guilty of both based on the same incident. Burglary has a maximum of 20 years. Theft by receiving can be a felony or a misdemeanor. If the value of the goods is greater than $500, it is a felony punishable by up to 10 years. Get your fiancé a lawyer.
