"Adjudication of guilt withheld" for moving violation?

3 views 3 answers
I got a ticket for a right-of-way violation. It was my first time ever getting pulled over/getting a ticket after five years of driving. I got an Affidavit for my court date in Florida (because I live in NY). I received a letter saying my adjudication of guilt was withheld but I must pay the fine. What does this mean in terms of POINTS? Am I not guilty, get no points on my license, and must pay the fine? Thank you.

When adjudication of guilt is withheld on a civil traffic infraction such as this, it means that you have been found guilty and therefore must pay the fine and court costs, but you will not receive any points on your license.

I believe it means that you get 3 points on your driving record.

This means you do not have points. However, you must pay the fine on time, or else your license will become suspended. You were found guilty by the court, but the court decided not to assess points.
