Do i have to roll down my window all the way when pulled over even if the cop tells me i have to?

If an officer asks you to roll the window down further, and you refuse to do so, regardless of the law, the officer will note your attitude, and will likely treat you harsher than he otherwise would. He or she may even order you out of the car. If you feel like the officer is violating your rights by having you roll the window down further, you can tell the officer that you would rather not roll the window down further, but will do so if he insists. If the officer later finds evidence illegally based on your compliance, you may have an argument for suppression. My advice is to be polite and not give the officer any reason to suspect that you are hiding something. That being said, never consent to the search of your vehicle without a warrant. Good luck.
