My colleagues' advice is sound -- immediately terminate all contact with her. In the meantime, document everything (i.e., grab a spiral notebook and write down everything that has happened to date -- your memory is better today than it will be a week, month or year from now) and keep a hard copy of all correspondence exchanged to date. In the event, you are contacted by the police invoke your right to remain silent and ask to speak with a lawyer.
In the event, the girl (or someone allegedly acting on her behalf) contacts you and demands monetary payment in exchange for her silence, contact the police.

First, do not engage in ANY additional contact with this person. That is the best thing you can do to defend yourself.
Second, when you say this person lives in "Wales," I assume you mean the provincial state in the United Kingdom. While (not surprisingly) the United States does have an extradition treaty with the United Kingdom, the extradition process is extremely costly and usually only utilized for very serious criminal offenses. I have no idea where "child grooming" fits on the spectrum of penal law, but if the exchange was limited to what you described above, I doubt that either the British or American governments will spend any amount of effort to drag you across the Atlantic.
On a side note, it looks bad that a 19 year old man is conversing on FB with a 13 year old girl. I recommend you avoid such exchanges in the future.
Good luck.
