If I am the custodial parent (100% custody), can I move out of state with my child? Do I have to give any type of legal notice?

My daughter's father only sees her an hour a week at best. There is no visitation order; I allow him to see her. Do I need to notify him within a certain time frame that we are moving out of California? Do I need his permission if he has 0 custody?

If you've been living in California for six months, and you move, if Dad files a case to specify his custody/visitation rights, it'll be heard in California. If you move, and conceal your daughter's new address, he might even be able to file a parental kidnapping complaint, and you'd be at risk of being arrested. I strongly suggest that you speak to a qualified experienced family law attorney BEFORE you move, so as to minimize the risk that you'll get dragged back to California. No lawyer worth his license is going to give you an answer that you should be relying upon other than this one: see a lawyer in your area who can sit down with you and talk to you and find out the exact circumstances of your issue.
