My nephew was on probation and failed his UA. His PO ordered him to report to jail later that day. He skipped town and is now out of state. Will this arrest warrant follow him so that he can't get a DL? Is there any statute of limitations for Idaho warrants?P

this answer is absolutely going to depend on the offense, jurisdiction, and practice of the local juvenile court. in some SOL rules on juveniles will be the same as adults, in some they will be different, and the life of such a warrant will also vary state to state: in some the age of majority-18-may bring the warrant, legally and/OR practically, to an end as the rules for detaining persons over and under 18 complicate the technical rules regarding warrants and their execution. what is the point of executing a juvenile misdemeanor warrant, for instance, if you cannot lodge the now 18 year old in either your juvenile detention facility(where you cannot lodge adults) or your jail(where you cannot lodge persons held on juvenile matters). liability drives the application of the laws regarding warrants, juveniles, and SOLs. as always, TALK YOUR UNIQUE CASE OVER WITH A QUALIFIED LAWYER IN YOUR JURISDICTION!
