I had a tooth extracted by an oral surgeon. He broke the tooth next to the extracted tooth. Is he liable to pay for the crown?

I also had to have a root canal down by an endodotist which I have already paid for. If not liable to pay is he liable to provide service of crowning the broken tooth?

First, let me say that I am not licensed in Alabama and I am not familiar with your medical malpractice laws. Talk to a local attorney for advice on the law. As for the medicine, I strongly suspect you do not have a case. I base this on the economics of malpractice litigation as well as the medical injury you suffered. A dental malpractice case such as yours might have a "jury value" of about $25,000. Yet pursuing a lawsuit might cost $40,000 and that is before an attorney takes a fee! Thus, a great many dental malpractice cases are not economically feasible even when the dentist really did commit negligence. Again, speak to a local attorney to get the best advice.
