My H1b Petition got approved very recently and it is effective from 1st October. Currently I am in L1 Visa and it is expiring on 24th August. I will be visiting my wife in Brazil . I am indian and would like to know whether I can stamp my first H1b Visa in US Consulate in Brazil. Please note that I have no degrees from US but My degree certificates are all validated by Indian Chamber of Commerce in order to get Brazilian Work permit 2 years ago. Thanks Arghadip

It would depend on whether the consular post is processing third country nationals.

I am not clear from your question if your wife is a Brazilian citizen or has other long term status in Brazil. It sounds as though you have had ties to Brazil in the past. You will want to contact the US embassy to clarify your options. However, when you do so, you want to make sure your ties to Brazil are made clear.
